Asbestos Soil Remediation –

Over 2000ton of asbestos contaminated soil was removed for a site surrounded by schools, live roads and residential areas. Prior planning and staging was key to completing the successful completion of this project.

Out of hours work was completed in areas adjacent to schools with an extensive air monitoring program in place to ensure any elevated fibre counts were captured quickly. Over a 1-month period, 240 air samples and soil heavily contaminated with asbestos, all air monitoring results returned a reading of less than 0.01 fibres/mL which is the acceptable measure as per Section 3.11 of the How to Safely Remove Asbestos Code of Practice 2021.

Underground Storage Tank (UST) Removal –

An Underground Storage Tank and lines was also removed during this project. This required specialised make safe and removal procedures on site, then ‘Dangerous Goods’ transportation off site where it was taken to an appropriately licensed waste facility, destroyed, and a destruction certificate provided.
